From the stock of bureau of the running mock-ups of auto-Vasa any minute now it will descend all-wheel-drive “guelder rose of 4WD” - the construction of transmission is already worked out on “the harmony -110”.
For the machine is used the series 16- valve engine with a volume of 1,8 l and gearbox 2112 with the intensive second shaft. The diagram of transmission is represented in the figure. Clutch housing is finished: is to the right the reducer of power take-off to the rear axle mated to it. Torque for it from the regular differential through two-step bevel gearbox 1 goes to gimbal drive 2. Reduction ratio 3,9:1, i.e., the revolutions of the output shaft, and also, therefore, of cardan, are almost four times higher than in the drives of wheels. Similar solution made it possible to decrease the sizes and the mass of hinges and built-in the transfer viscous clutch.
Because of the additional (intermediate) shaft, which passes through the reducer of power take-off, front semiaxes came out almost identical length. Therefore disappeared the effect of the withdrawal of automobile to the right with its intensive acceleration, whose reason in the different length, and also, therefore, the angles of the slope of drives.
For convenience in assembling transmission is introduced the subframe of power unit 3 as to “one hundred sixth” models. However, it is known from the experience, obtained on all-wheel-drive “ten”: subframe still and improves controllability. Yes even assembling is simpler - indeed all-wheel-drive “guelder rose” is oriented not to the conveyor, but to the small-scale production.
Gimbal drive of three shafts is suspended from two inner bearings in the regular tunnel next to the exhaust system. Front and rear shafts - tubular aluminum. Begins transfer from the hinge of equal angular velocities, which ensures even and the compensation for the displacement of power unit. Remaining “bends” take to themselves usual crosspieces.
The average cardan shaft is build it the viscous clutch of 4 firms GKN. Its task - of tracking the difference of the speeds of front and rear wheels, and if the same appears - to automatically connect complete drive. Since the shafts revolve considerably more rapid than wheels, is more a difference in their speeds; therefore the sensitivity of clutch to their relative slippage is very high.
They thus far try two versions of clutch - with the rigid and soft characteristic. The special features of each are known: rigid ensures the best passability (due to the effective interaxial blocking), but on the coatings with the high coefficient of adhesion in some regimes it contributes to the circulation of power in the transmission, and on the slippery is made itself automobile inclined to excess [povorachivaemosti]. However, soft in the turning preserves the front-wheel-drive nature of controllability, but the effectiveness is somewhat insufficient with it
interaxial blocking. Which of them they will select - they will solve in the course of road tests.
In the tail end of the automobile is fastened one additional subframe 5, on which are installed the reducer and the elements of suspension of the type “MPHEARSON”. The latter is changed not only structurally, but also according to the characteristics - one must optimize them in the course of tests and finishing works. Drum brakes yielded the place for disks.
Reducer is fixed on the elegant subframe through the rubber supports, and that is in turn rigidly connected with the body. From the reducer (with gear ratio already 1:3,9 in order to return previous revolutions) the torque through the drives with [ShRUSami] it is transferred to the rear wheels. They on the all-wheel-drive version - with size of 185/65R14.
After obtaining complete drive, “guelder rose” will not become cross-country vehicle, but it will remain very that not on there is by a urban- suburban automobile. It is only better by those fitted out to the ride along the roads, covered with water, by mud, by snow and by ice.

Kwestia gustu, moim zdaniem jest na rynku trochę samochodów zdecydowanie brzydszych od Logana choćby Fiat 600
