Hofele Design 2010 Audi A8

Hofele is the first tuner to fully inform us about their program for the new 2010 Audi A8. The program includes engine performance, new wheels, an aerodynamic kit and brake kit.

The engine performance of the 4.2 liter V8 FSI is increased up to 400pk and 475Nm. Sprint time from 0– 100km/h (62mph) is 5.3 second. Thee 4.2 liter V8 TDI gets 395pk and 880Nm delivering a 0–100km/h (62mph) in 5.2 econds.

The aerodynamic kit includes a new front bumper with big air intakes and air vents in alloy look. The vents ensure improved inflow for the intercoolers. The rear apron includes a diffuser with openings for the stainless steel sports muffler with four tailpipes. The exhaust has flap control for sound optimisation. Air in-/outtakes in the front fenders, discreet side skirts and an integrated bigger trunk spoiler lip complement the kit.

On the technical side Hofele installed lowering of the air suspension through our ETS lowering module, an electronically plug-in-system, with which the height of the car can be adjusted individually (lowering of 40 to 80mm). High performance brakes with six-pistons and bigger, perforated and slotted steel brake discs with internal ventilation, ceramic brake disc are optional.

Hofele designer wheels are available for the 2011 A8 outfitted with type “PRADO” in the size 9,5Jx20 inch with tires in the size 265/40R20 or size 10Jx22 inch with tires in the size 265/30×22.

Nowa generacja niemieckiej limuzyny, dopiero co została zaprezentowana, a branża tuningowa już wzięła się za przeróbki Audi A8. Pierwszą firmą, która będzie oferowała specjalny program, obejmujący zwiększenie mocy silnika i zmodyfikowaną stylistykę jest Hofele Design. Auto zadebiutuje w przyszłym tygodniu podczas Salonu Motoryzacyjnego w Genewie.

Specjaliści z Hofele Design zajęli się obiema, aktualnie dostępnymi jednostkami napędowymi. I tak, 4,2-litrowy silnik benzynowy V8 zamiast 372 KM i 445 Nm generuje 400 KM i 475 Nm, a pierwsza setka osiągana jest po 5,3 sekundy (standardowy 5,7 sekundy).

4,2-litrowy diesel V8 TDI z 350 KM i 800 NM “skoczył” do 395 KM i 880 Nm oraz rozpędza się od 0-100 KM/H w 5,2 sekundy, zamiast 5,5 sekundy. W obu przypadkach zużycie paliwa pozostaje takie samo.

Oprócz modyfikacji motorów, zamontowano regulowane elektronicznie sportowe zawieszenie, które obniża wysokość jazdy samochodu między 40 a 80 mm, cztery końcówki układu wydechowego i wydajniejsze hamulce.

Body kit obejmuje przednie i tylne zderzaki, dyfuzor, nowy grill (ze znaczkiem S8?) oraz dyskretny spojler na pokrywie bagażnika. Oczywiście nie mogło obyć się bez dodatku ogromnych 20- lub 22-calowych aluminiowych felg wraz z oponami o rozmiarze 265/40 ZR20 i 265/30 ZR22. Wewnątrz odnajdziemy między innymi kierownicę w stylu Audi R8.
