Peugeot Adds an Ass to the 207 in China - Live Pictures
Beijing, 111108. Peugeot launched it's new 207 sedan to press and public in China. It is common known that Chinese car-buyers don't like hatchbacks so many automakers simply add an ass to their vehicles.
This sometimes leads to ridicilous proportioned vehicles, such as this 207 sedan. The 207 is made in China at PSA's (Peugeot-Citroen) joint venture with Dongfeng Automotive. They also make the Fukang, Elyssee, 207 hatchback, the Citroen Picasso, a family mpv, and the Peugeot 307 CC, among others. That last one hasn't sold any, who decided to bring that thing to China, and to build it here, should be fired now! That useless car is in China even more useless. The air is just too dirty or too dusty to open the top, the weather is either too hot or too cold, I haven't seen a single one here in Beijing.
None of PSA's cars are selling very well, La Japonaisse are taking over. The only exeption is the 207 hatchback, which is a bit strange considering that common-knowledge-thing about hatchbacks.
So instead of, as Toyota for example, pouring more hatches on the market, a market which favour seems to CHANGE from sedan to hatchback, Peugeot decides to add the ass to the 207 anyway. Considering it looks I don't think this car will sell.
Price will be between 8000 and 1000 US dollar, engines as in the hatchback: deathslow 1.4 and 1.6's.

Mam tylko nadzieję, że projektant Peugeota odpowiedzialny za to świństwo teraz szuka nowej pracy. Już ja bym lepiej narysował ten tył...
